Dr Chris Cox is from New York City. In High School his enrollment in Honors Science and Math as well as his athletic participation in track, basketball, and wrestling enabled him to win a scholorship to Cornell University. He earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in addition to rowing on their crew team and traveled to help build and document the first Indian Tribal Museum in Window Rock Arizona.
Returning to New York he taught in the Public School System implementing programs which took underprivileged innercity school children to nature conservation programs in upstate NY as well as Puerto Rico. Was the Union Representative for this district, and earned a Master's degree in Mathematical Education.
Attended Life University College of Chiropractic learning various techniques, worked with athletes and graduated with honors.
Worked in Washington DC with Medisyn Provider Network as a chiropractor, coordinating an office of Orthopedic, Nuerologic, and Chiropractic doctors while caring for patients involved in tramatic car and pedestrian accidents. Associated with Washington DC Sport and Spine Rehab working with activity based patients involved in daily life and sports related issues.
Moved to first Germany and then Peru to impliment chiropractic programs and absorb cultural information in both countries. (What a great way to travel!)
Relocated to Beautiful Austin Texas for the scenery and weather (Yes I know it gets too be over 100 degrees here but I love the heat!) to work in Central Chiropractic Clinic spreading holistic based care to all.
It is through release of stress, participating in physical activities which are fun such as dance, rowing, basketball etc, eating well and getting regular gentle chiropractic care of which his philosophy of healthy living is based.
